So many millions of people now blog, and each person has a different feel and a different path when it comes to being a blogger. Question like what is a blog to you? What makes a blog…a blog? How do you make a blog your own? These are some of the questions about blogging.

As far as I can see, there are 3 types of reasons for blogging:

* editorial (leads, sources, speed, multimedia);
* commercial (distribution, SEO); and
* professional (portfolio, personal brand).

Why did you start blogging? Why do you continue to blog? Was it a personal or an organizational move? How has it proved its worth (or not)? So my question is, why do you blog?

Interesting question !

I like the freedom of being able to express my interests.Sometimes its fun to see a post I've done months back and see how I've picked up something completely different about the same subject. Ha! I get to see myself grow. LOL!

It began as a way to document the remodeling of The Stone House and became a connection to others with the same interests. I am thoroughly enjoying every moment, and the people I've met are fabulous.

It's cheap therapy! Plus, I've a horrendously horrible, terrible, awesomely bad, memory. So when the kids are grown and ask me what they did at such-n-such age I can say, "I don't recall. Let's check the blog... Who are you again?"

This is a wonderful question! I guess I started blogging as I'm a stay at home mom and talking to a little person all day would drive me nuts. We're a military family and sometimes its hard because when you make new friends their gone in a few months so your always meeting new people. I also thought it would be a great way to let my friends back home keep up to date with us.

I'm always learning new things and love to find out more about blogging. I enjoy sharing with others.

To share, to vent, to laugh, to cry, to express myself, to know I am not alone.

Great question! I blog as an extension of my professional organizing business. I try to offer organizing tips for organizing your home, office or time.

I blog for lots of reasons. Mostly as a creative outlet and a way to connect with other parents. It's tough to get out with friends and even a phone conversation around here isn't possible without several interruptions. I love that I can connect with friends online and focus on my blog when the kiddos are in bed. I love that it's my baby and I can take it where ever I choose. I wish I had more time to write and devote to my blog, but for now I do the best I can to keep it up and provide some valuable content. I have hopes and plans for my blog that continue to evolve. I'll just have to see where the road takes me :D

first thing that made me blog were for work purposes and personal therapy. Work, because I havent been in the corporate arena for sometime since I bore my first baby, and I just came from an overseas job. I was looking for online writing jobs, and it was my bestfriend who told me that some companies look for portfolios online. so i tried writing some personal essays then. second was for therapy. i was then in depression mode since my ex-partner left me and my son. so since i love writing, i decided - why not write those tears away! and what do you know, it actually became a form of rehabilitation for me! :D

now, i'm particularly blogging for paid reviews, and another thing was for my writing portfolio. :)

I first started blogging to keep family up to date with my family...we live 800 miles away from most. I also wanted to promote awareness for my daughters disease..mitochondrial disease. I like to post lots of pics of my kids and their goofiness. I like to write posts/reviews especially how they might fit in with the special needs childrens.
